Your API key works on any number of WordPress sites.
Usage
Voice Selection
Go to Settings → WordPrais Reader.
Click Preview Voices to listen to all 8 Chirp3-HD voices.
Available voices: Puck, Charon, Fenrir, Orus (masculine) and Kore, Aoede, Leda, Zephyr (feminine).
Select your preferred default voice for the site.
Generating Audio
Audio is generated on demand when a visitor first clicks the play button on a post.
Generated audio is cached and served instantly on subsequent visits.
When you update a post, the audio is automatically regenerated on the next play.
Audio Player
The audio player appears automatically on posts and pages where Reader is enabled. You can also use the shortcode [wordprais_reader] to place the player anywhere in your content.
Language Support
Chirp3-HD voices support 18+ languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, and Hindi. The plugin auto-detects your content language or you can set it manually per post.
Per-Post Settings
Override the default voice on individual posts via the WordPrais Reader meta box in the editor. You can also disable audio generation for specific posts.
Troubleshooting
API key not connecting: Ensure your API key is correct and your site can reach wordprais.com over HTTPS.
Plugin not connecting: Check that your server can reach wordprais.com over HTTPS.
Slow generation: AI content generation depends on model response times. Large batches may take several minutes.
